Tec-9 | Perimeter Description
Release History
Tec-9 | Perimeter was added to CS2 on July 8, 2026, with the Arabesque, Tech, Fruits & Racing update. Designed by Kuch, it joined The Spy Tech Collection as a compact sidearm finish inspired by restricted zones and covert security equipment.
Designer
Perimeter was created by the community artist Kuch. The design gives the Tec-9 a disciplined, utility-focused appearance, using a restrained visual language that fits the surveillance and security themes found throughout The Spy Tech Collection.
Pattern and Skin Features
Tec-9 | Perimeter uses a Gunsmith finish, combining patina effects with custom-painted sections on the new CS2 model. Pattern indexes do not change the layout, so every copy follows the same design and there is no rare seed or separate best pattern. The black-and-gray color scheme gives the pistol a discreet tactical look. Its muted presentation feels more like specialized field equipment than a decorative weapon finish, making it suitable for players who prefer clean and understated skins. Small orange-and-white speckles are scattered across the grey frame, adding a subtle pop of colour.
Float Range
Perimeter can generate with any float value from 0.00 to 1.00, meaning it is available in every exterior condition. Souvenir versions are also possible across the complete wear range. Factory New keeps the dark panels uniform and preserves the clearest contrast between the black and gray areas. Additional wear makes the finish look more rugged, which can reinforce its security-equipment theme.
Drop Rate and Chance
Tec-9 | Perimeter is not obtained by opening a regular CS2 weapon case. It is part of the Armory reward system, where players spend Armory Credits on items from The Spy Tech Collection. As an Industrial Grade reward, Perimeter is among the more likely items to appear. Its acquisition odds are more favorable than those of Mil-Spec, Restricted, Classified, and Covert skins, making it one of the collection’s easier finishes to obtain.
Gameplay and Notable Players
Tec-9 | Perimeter has only just entered CS2, so it has no established competitive history yet. The Tec-9 is a T force-buy staple, so the finish will mostly surface in anti-eco and pistol rounds. For now, the buzz is mostly among collectors and Armory openers.
Rarity
Perimeter has Industrial Grade rarity and belongs to the more accessible side of the CS2 skin hierarchy. It is one of 448 pistol finishes and is positioned as a common collection reward rather than a premium drop. Its value is therefore influenced more by the Tec-9 model, exterior quality, Souvenir status, and preference for dark tactical designs than by scarcity.
Popularity
Tec-9 | Perimeter currently holds a 56% popularity rating, placing it in the top 44% of CS2 items. It is a rough read on how actively the finish trades and what it costs.
