XM1014 | Black Site Description
Release History
XM1014 | Black Site entered CS2 on July 8, 2026, with the Arabesque, Tech, Fruits & Racing update. The skin was created by Hybra and added to The Spy Tech Collection, introducing a darker covert-facility theme to the XM1014 lineup.
Designer
Black Site was designed by the community artist Hybra. The concept uses the shotgun’s long frame to create the impression of specialized equipment intended for restricted operations, giving the weapon a secretive and heavily controlled visual identity.
Pattern and Skin Features
XM1014 | Black Site uses a Gunsmith finish that combines patina-based treatment with custom-painted details on the new CS2 model. Pattern indexes do not change the artwork, so every copy keeps the same composition and there is no rare seed or separate best pattern. The design is dominated by gray shades, which support its classified-installation theme. Its subdued palette gives the shotgun a practical, industrial appearance, while the fixed layout keeps the visual style consistent across all copies.
Float Range
Black Site is available with float values from 0.00 to 1.00, allowing it to appear in every exterior condition. Souvenir versions are also available for each wear level. Factory New preserves the smoothest gray surfaces and keeps the technical details at their clearest. Higher wear creates a more rugged finish, which can make the shotgun look like equipment that has already been used in field operations.
Drop Rate and Chance
XM1014 | Black Site does not come from a conventional weapon case. It is obtained through the Armory, where players use Armory Credits to receive items from The Spy Tech Collection. As an Industrial Grade reward, Black Site belongs to the more common part of the collection’s drop pool. Its acquisition chances are therefore much better than those of Mil-Spec, Restricted, Classified, or Covert rewards, making it one of the more accessible Spy Tech finishes.
Gameplay and Notable Players
XM1014 | Black Site is too recent to have any real track record in ranked or pro play. The XM1014 is a situational auto-shotgun, so visibility will stay modest outside eco rounds. Its early audience is mostly loadout-builders and XM1014 players.
Rarity
Black Site has Industrial Grade rarity and is one of 165 shotgun skins in CS2. It sits near the lower end of the rarity hierarchy and is intended to be easier to obtain than the collection’s premium items. Its appeal depends more on the covert visual theme, exterior condition, and Souvenir status than on scarcity. This also makes it a practical option for players building a dark or technology-focused inventory.
Popularity
At 46% popularity, XM1014 | Black Site ranks within the top 54% of items in the game. In short, it tracks both demand and how well the skin holds value.
