Nova | Morning Sun Description
Release History
Nova | Morning Sun entered CS2 on July 8, 2026, with the Arabesque, Tech, Fruits & Racing update. Created by the community designer friendly, it was added to The Arabesque Collection as a new shotgun finish with a restrained, modern appearance.
Designer
The skin was designed by friendly, who gave the Nova a quieter visual direction than many of the more ornate items in the same release. Morning Sun relies on subtle surface treatment and tonal balance, showing that a collection skin can stand out without using an overly bright palette.
Pattern and Skin Features
Nova | Morning Sun uses a Gunsmith finish that blends patina effects with custom-painted elements on the new CS2 model. Its artwork does not change between pattern indexes, so every copy follows the same composition and there is no separate rare or best pattern. The finish is built mainly around warm sandy-gold tones, with fine ornamental engraving across the receiver and stock and a darker gunmetal barrel for contrast. Rather than relying on bright colors, Morning Sun leans on this soft golden palette and delicate detailing to give the Nova a refined, understated look.
Float Range
Nova | Morning Sun can generate with any float value from 0.00 to 1.00, covering all five exterior conditions. Souvenir versions are also available in Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn, and Battle-Scarred condition. A low-float copy keeps the sandy-gold surfaces smoother and preserves the finish’s subtle details more clearly. Factory New suits the design particularly well, while heavier wear adds a rougher texture that changes its otherwise polished look.
Drop Rate and Chance
Nova | Morning Sun is not acquired from a classic weapon case. Instead, it is distributed through the Armory, where players spend Armory Credits to obtain rewards from The Arabesque Collection. As an Industrial Grade reward, it belongs to the more commonly received group of items in the collection. Its odds are therefore considerably more favorable than those of Mil-Spec, Restricted, Classified, or Covert finishes available through the same Armory route.
Gameplay and Notable Players
Because Nova | Morning Sun is brand new, no professional players are tied to it so far. The Nova is an eco-round CT shotgun, so its exposure will stay limited to low-buy situations. At the moment, Armory players and collectors show the most interest.
Rarity
Morning Sun has Industrial Grade rarity, placing it toward the accessible end of the CS2 skin hierarchy. Among the game’s 165 shotgun finishes, it is intended to be easier to obtain than the collection’s higher-grade items. Its appeal is based less on limited supply and more on its muted design, exterior quality, and Souvenir availability. This makes it a practical option for players who prefer subtle skins over highly decorative or expensive alternatives.
Popularity
Nova | Morning Sun sits at 49% popularity, which puts it inside the top 51% of all CS2 items. The score comes from sales frequency combined with market price.
