AUG | Lapis Lazuli Description
Release History
AUG | Lapis Lazuli was introduced to CS2 on July 8, 2026, as part of the Arabesque, Tech, Fruits & Racing update. The skin was created by the community designer CiDDi, making it one of the newest community-made AUG finishes released with that update.
Designer
AUG | Lapis Lazuli was created by the community designer CiDDi, who is also known for Sticker | Approaching Site (Foil). This gives Lapis Lazuli a direct connection to another workshop item by the same author and highlights CiDDi’s work across both weapon finishes and sticker design in CS2.
Pattern and Skin Features
AUG | Lapis Lazuli uses a Gunsmith finish (patina combined with custom paint), so every copy keeps the same core artwork and overall balance on the new CS2 model. Since different pattern indexes do not change the skin, there is no rare pattern variant or collector-specific best pattern to search for. In practice, buyers can focus on wear and general presentation instead of pattern placement. What defines this skin is its rich blue-toned look and polished ornamental style. The Lapis Lazuli finish combines a deep blue base with decorative golden elements and refined linework, giving the AUG a more elegant and gemstone-inspired appearance. Instead of a harsh tactical feel, the skin leans into a cleaner and more luxurious visual identity.
Float Range
AUG | Lapis Lazuli has a float range from 0.00 to 1.00, so it is available in every exterior. Souvenir versions also exist across the full wear range, giving buyers access to both standard and event-linked copies in different conditions. Factory New is the most appealing wear for Lapis Lazuli because this finish relies on a smooth blue surface, clean ornamental detail, and a polished gemstone-like look. In top condition, the color appears deeper, the decorative elements stay clearer, and the overall finish feels more refined. Since the skin is built around elegance rather than wear-driven texture, Factory New presents it in the strongest way.
Drop Rate and Chance
AUG | Lapis Lazuli is distributed through the Armory instead of a conventional weapon case. To obtain it, players spend Armory Credits on rewards connected to its collection. Its estimated chance is 15.98%, so the skin is less common than entry-level items but still more attainable than Classified or Covert rewards. This places Lapis Lazuli in a balanced middle ground between accessibility and rarity.
Gameplay and Notable Players
AUG | Lapis Lazuli launched only days ago, so there is no pro-scene history behind it yet. The AUG is a situational CT pick that spikes whenever it is meta, so its visibility will rise and fall with the weapon itself. At this stage, traders and themed-loadout builders are the main audience.
Rarity
AUG | Lapis Lazuli is one of 331 rifle skins in CS2 and belongs to the Restricted rarity tier. That gives it a stronger collector profile than common collection items, while still keeping it more obtainable than the rarest top-tier drops.
Popularity
AUG | Lapis Lazuli scores 72% on popularity, landing it in the top 28% of CS2 items. Think of it as demand and value rolled into a single metric.
