FAMAS | Snake Song Description
Release History
FAMAS | Snake Song made its CS2 debut on July 8, 2026, during the Arabesque, Tech, Fruits & Racing update. Designed by apel8, it was introduced as part of The The Arabesque Collection and expanded the new release with a lower-rarity rifle finish built around a bold symbolic motif.
Designer
Snake Song was created by the community artist apel8, whose portfolio also includes M4A1-S | Nightmare and AK-47 | Legion of Anubis. This finish shows another side of the designer’s work, replacing dark fantasy imagery with a cleaner composition centered on a single decorative figure.
Pattern and Skin Features
FAMAS | Snake Song uses a Gunsmith finish that combines patina treatment with custom-painted artwork on the new CS2 model. Pattern indexes do not alter the design, so the snake remains in the same position on every copy and there is no separate best pattern to identify. Its main feature is a green serpent outlined in bright gold across a muted gold base. The contrast keeps the artwork easy to read while giving the rifle a ceremonial, almost emblematic appearance. The finish is completed by the flavor text “A flicker of hope.”
Float Range
FAMAS | Snake Song has a float range from 0.00 to 1.00 and can appear in all five exterior conditions. Each wear level is also available as a Souvenir version. Lower-float copies preserve the matte gold surface and the sharp border around the snake more effectively. Factory New offers the cleanest presentation, but the broad float range also gives players more affordable ways to own the design.
Drop Rate and Chance
FAMAS | Snake Song is not found by opening a regular CS2 weapon case. It is obtained through the Armory, where players spend Armory Credits to access rewards from The The Arabesque Collection. Its estimated chance is 79.92%, so it belongs to the most frequently obtainable group in the collection. The relatively high probability makes it much easier to receive than the Restricted, Classified, and Covert rewards available through the same system.
Gameplay and Notable Players
As a fresh Armory release, FAMAS | Snake Song has not built a competitive reputation yet. The FAMAS is mainly an eco- and force-buy CT rifle, so the finish will show up most in lower-buy rounds. Interest today sits with collectors, flippers, and curious FAMAS users.
Rarity
Snake Song has Mil-Spec Grade rarity and is one of 331 rifle skins in CS2. This tier is designed to be broadly accessible, meaning the skin’s appeal comes mainly from its artwork and collection theme rather than from extreme scarcity.
Popularity
FAMAS | Snake Song has reached a 61% popularity rating — the top 39% of CS2 items. It moves with how often the skin sells and how much buyers pay.
